Nicole's one of favorite books these days. Today is Monday by Eric Carle. She likes to sing rather than to read the book.

Nicole likes to read books these days. The title of the book shown is "Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What do you hear?" by Eric Carle. But Nicole keeps reading it as "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see?", another book written by the same author.

John read a book about Johnny Appleseed.
- Who's Johnny Appleseed?
Many people think that Johnny Appleseed was fictional character, but he was a real person. Johnny Appleseed, whose real name was John Chapman (1774~1845), was a legendary American pioneer nurseryman who introduced the apple trees to much of the United States of America. He became an American legend while still alive, largely because of his kind and generous ways, his leadership in conservation, and also because of the symbolic importance of apples.

First two weeks of "New Year" but not many special events:
- John's first experience of snow sledding;
- John drew a picture of him in real size;
- Nicole likes playing the keyboards.
